The virtual exchange group have discussed research articles in the first year of the GLOSS network at Zoom in between physical meeting points in Oslo in September and Borås in April. Some of the members’ publications on virtual exchange research are listed under ‘research and development.’
The network had their first digital meeting after the summer break 7th September. Malin Reljanovic Glimäng from Malmö with colleges arrange a Hands-On Workshop Drawing on Insights from the VALIANT European Project in Malmö, 29th of September 2023, where some of the network partners participate.
The VALIANT project and UNICollaboration will arrange an international academic conference on “Exploring the impact of Virtual Exchange in Teacher Education” at University of Leon, 8.-9. February 2024, where the network will take part in the discussions on virtual exchange.
Some of our representatives virtually toke part in IVEC conference in 2022 and hope to attain at the conference in San Paulo in 2023. The UCN team will be at the International Online Collaboration as a Refraction Prism for Reflection and Learning in the European Conference on Reflective Practice-based Learning 2023 (ucn.dk).
Representatives from the network took part in the EAIE conference, Rotterdam in September 2023, whereas virtual exchange was a central issue. Anne Lassen Zakaria, UCN, Charles K. Assuah, Winneba and Steinar Mathisen, OsloMet had a paper presentation on Developing global skills for future teachers through virtual exchange: Reflections from Ghana, Norway and Denmark.
