Tore Nesset
Project member, Norway
Professor Tore Nesset is Meritorious educator and head of the CLEAR research group at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. In addition to an extensive scholarly output in Russian linguistics, he has been actively involved in educational development for many years. He is the author of three Russian-language textbooks that are used at all Norwegian universities and, to some extent, internationally: Russiskstudentens beste venn (2nd edition, 2014), How Russian Came to Be the Way It Is: A Student’s Guide to the History of the Russian Language (2015), and Ikke bare-bare – en liten bok om å oversette til russisk (2016, with Anastasia Makarova). Nesset has led a number of educational development projects funded by the Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education (HK-dir).
