Management and publication of TROLLing dataset drafts

• Publication of dataset: The DOI will only be activated on publication of the data. TROLLing curators will proceed to publication when curation of the dataset is finalized (for details, see https://site.uit.no/dataverseno/deposit/).
  • If a DOI to non-finalized dataset is published in a related publication, and the dataset depositor fails to respond when contacted, TROLLing curators will ask the publisher of the related publication to have information about the dataset removed.
• Correspondence between dataset and related publication: You are responsible for checking the correspondence between your dataset and the related publication. Pay particular attention to the metadata fields Title, Description (if the related publication abstract is entered next to the dataset description), and Related Publication, including their corresponding sections in the dataset ReadMe file.
• Sharing of dataset draft: If you wish to share your dataset draft with editors, TROLLing curators can create a PrivateURL. This link will be deleted when your dataset is published. If your related publication is subject to double blind peer review, TROLLing curators can create an anonymized version of your dataset. This version including its DOI will be deleted when your dataset is published.
• Management of dataset drafts: TROLLing curators will contact you regularly to check the status of your dataset draft. If your dataset draft is 3 years old and there has been no activity the last year, and you fail to respond when contacted, TROLLing curators will proceed to deletion of the draft within a defined period of time.
