The first project meeting / kickoff took place at Várdobáiki sámi guovddáš, Skánik (Evenskjer) bringing together partners from Várdobáiki, Salten Mat, Nordland Research Institute, and UiT The Arctic University Museum of Norway.

Discussions covered inspiring ideas for project outcomes, including a Sámi cookbook, budget, milestones, reference group and upcoming fieldwork.

The next steps in the project are starting the fieldwork, conducting a literature review, and assembling a reference group.
