Summer Schools

Two Summer Schools augment the educational offer of GLOBSEC; both will focus on risk & resilience but each will tackle it differently. One will be organized in Stellenbosch (August 2024), focusing on strategic & cyber security. The second in Tromsø (August 2025) will focus on critical infrastructure protection. Both Summer schools will have innovative teaching approaches (e.g., digital exercises, simulations, games) and applied perspectives including field trips to warrant hands-on experience.

GLOBSEC Summer School 2025: Comparative Analysis of Security Policy, UiT Tromso

Academically, the summer school combined lectures, group work, and practical case studies to build students’ skills in policy analysis, comparative research methods, and critical evaluation. Through cross-cultural teamwork and guided mentorship, participants developed and presented their own policy comparison projects. The final group presentations served as the basis for academic assessment. Detailed overview of this edition can be found here.
