Fastbaps, a fast solution to the genetic clustering problem

By leveraging ideas from both the Bayesian Hierarchical Clustering and the hierBAPS algorithms, along with a fast sparse matrix based implementation, Fastbaps enables efficient model-based clustering of large alignments that were previously infeasible to analyse using existing methods.

This research was conducted by scientists from Wellcome Sanger Institute, New York University School of Medicine, University of Cambridge and University of Oslo.
