The NERA Conference will, for the first time, be held north of the Arctic Circle in 2027. Hosted by UiT The Arctic University of Norway, this landmark event will bring together educational researchers from across the Nordic region and beyond. Known for its stunning Arctic landscapes and dynamic academic community, Tromsø offers a unique setting for discussions on education and research in a rapidly changing world. Join us in exploring new perspectives at the northernmost NERA Conference!

Travel and accommodation
Did you know that Tromsø is an island far up in Northern Norway? This makes it a great place to see the northern lights and stunning nature, but it also limits the possibility for travel. The easiest way is to arrive by plane, but you can also take the train as far north as it goes, to Narvik, and bus about 3 hours north but it is a time-consuming option. We will post information about hotels and travel soon, but you advise to start planning your trip early!

NFPF/NERA is the main association for educational researchers in the Nordic countries. NERA strives to promote educational inquiry and supports the use of research to enhance education. It aims to strengthen the visibility of education as a discipline in the Nordic societies and to provide a platform for Nordic researchers as well as collaboration between them and the international community.
