Arctic SIZE scientists Finlo Cottier, Paul Wassmann, Marit Reigstad, Stig Falk-Petersen and Rolf Gradinger organized and contributed to a seasonal sea ice zone focused session during the Arctic Science Summit Week 2017 in Prague. The ASSW is an annual event bringing together Arctic scientists from Asia, Europe and America for one week.
Reigstad and Gradinger also had leadership functions during the two day MOSAIC planning workshop, which focused on the science questions to be addressed during the one year ice drift study of the German icebreaker Polarstern in 2018/2019. Marit was leading discussion groups, while Gradinger is co-leader of the Ecosystem Taskforce.Marit participated also the International Arctic Science Committee marine working group as Norwegian delegate, discussing international science cooperation and planning, and involvement of early career scientists.
