While polar bears, seals and whale attract public attention, those higher trophics can only exist because they are supported by a food web consisting of thousands of small species less obvious to the eye. It is data and knowledge on such small groups that inhabit sea ice that Arctic SIZE researchers synthesized for SAMBR.
