ArcticSIZE was well represented at the Arctic Change 2017 conference in Quebec City on December 11-15 with two senior scientists (Paul Wassmann and Jørgen Berge), one post-doc (Elizaveta Ershova) and two PhD candidates (Christine Dybwad and Raphaelle Descoteaux) sharing their work. Christine gave a talk on the seasonal patterns of downward carbon export in seasonal ice zone north of Svalbard. Elizaveta and Raphaelle presented a poster on the connectivity between planktonic larvae and adult benthic invertebrate communities in the Pacific Arctic. The conference fostered some great discussions and collaborations with Canadian and international partners.
