Last week Tobias Vonnahme went to the annual meeting of ForBIO in Tromsø. ForBIO is a national research school and network for taxonomy and systematics. Tobias presented the planned Arctic SIZE project about impacts of glacial meltwater inflow and sea ice on microbial food webs and communities on Svalard. The project was initated during a phytoplankton taxonomy course organized by FroBIO last year and involves Arctic SIZE PhD students Christine Dybwad, Ulrike Dietrich, Tobias Vonnahme, Marit Reigstad, and Rolf Gradinger, as well as collaborators from NTNU, Sweden, and the Czech Republic.
