SIZE postdoc Brandon Hassett traveled to the Ross Sea in Antarctica to participate in a month-long advanced training program with the US National Science Foundation.  Brandon was part of a team that was selected from a highly competitive international applicant pool to gain knowledge in Antarctic ice-covered ecosystems and to conduct integrative biological research.  The NSF Antarctic biology training course was started almost 20 years ago and has helped shaped some of the world’s leading polar ecologists.  Brandon was the first participant from the University of Tromsø in the history of the course.
