Finnfjord visit

Today CHOCO project leader Kathrin had the possibility to visit Finnfjord, a ferro-alloy plant close to Finnsnes. Finnfjord is working together with Prof. H.C. Eilertsen’s group at UiT to reduce CO2 emissions by using algae that ‘eat’ the CO2. The algae will then become fish-feed. Several large tanks full of algae are already in place.
An extremely interesting day with people from many different disciplines, from biology to technology to philosophy and innovation.
