The opening meeting for the project was held at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway in Narvik December 4-5. At the meeting, all partners and Kolarctic CBC were present.
This was the first official meeting in the project. Even the partners had many discussions and online meetings during the application process, this was the first time all partners were present at the same time. The lead partner, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, have previous worked together with all the other partners. However, for OUAS, RISE and NArFU it was the first meeting so one of the main goals of the meeting was to get together and to get to know each other.
Further, details about the content of the project and the outline for the implementation of the project was discussed. The next meeting was decided to be at NArFU in Arkhangelsk in June 2019.
In addition to the project partners, steering group members from Finland and Norway were present at the meeting. From Finland Jyrki Röpelinen (OUAS) and from Norway Daniel Fjærtoft from Sigra Group AS.
