ECR Travel Grants
Thanks to some additional funding, we are delighted to be able to offer a limited number of travel grants of up to 8,000 NOK to support students (BSc/MSc/PhD) and ECRs (within 7 years of PhD graduation) participating in the 6th (and final) PalaeoArc Conference.
The aim of this grant is to encourage students and early career scientists to present at the conference and network with other more senior researchers.
This grant can only be used to cover the registration fee, conference dinner, travel (economy class), and accommodation. Students and PhD candidates are expected to apply for the free guestroom in the registration form, if available.
Only those presenting talks or posters are eligible, and it will only be after you have presented that you can apply for a reimbursement of your expenses. Any additional expenses, or costs over the maximum value of the student support, must be covered by the participant.

The following Terms and Conditions apply to you and your participation in this conference, both in-person and digitally. By registering to participate in this conference, you agree to these terms so please read them carefully.
Payment
All registration fees must be paid during registration. Payment must be made online using a VISA/MASTERCARD.
Attendee Cancellation Policy
All delegates have the right to cancel their registration in accordance with the conditions outlined below.
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to palaeoarc2025@uit.no and must be received by 15 May 2025
- Cancellation received before and on 15 May 2025 receive a refund of 80% of the registration fee and conference dinner cost
- Cancellation requests received after 15 May 2025 cannot be refunded
- No refund will be granted in case of a no-show
Refunds are limited to the conference registration fee and conference dinner (for Regular registrations), with all other liabilities excluded. Refunds therefore do not include or cover the refund of expenses associated to travel, hotel or any other associated costs.
By selecting that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions you are acknowledging that you understand the attendee cancellation policy.
If the congress is cancelled due to other unforeseen events beyond the control of the organizers, the registration fee will be refunded after deduction of expenses incurred by the conference.
