The consortium will primarily benefit PhD candidates who are pursuing a career in academia and already have a clear topic and research approach, but are not so far along in their PhD that they can no longer make changes.

The polar nights have arrived and the year is inevitably moving towards its end. We want to take this opportunity to thank everybody that have participated in our events and activities this past year. 2014 has been a year where TODOS has hosted 10 events, something we think is a record high. International Winter School 2015: Democracy, expertise and power

The Centre for European Studies, Jagiellonian University and the ARENA Centre for European Studies and the University of Oslo are pleased to invite MA and PhD candidates, as well as anyone interested in the topic to participate in the International Winter School: “Democracy, expertise and power: the role of experts in modern European societies.” Completing the course gives 5 ECTS, there is no participation fee and accommodation and participation costs are covered by the organizers. The course is held in English.

This is the 21st annual conference of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economics (EAERE). EAERE’s aims is to contribute to the development and application of environmental and resource economics as a science in Europe, to encourage and improve the communication between teachers, researchers and students in environmental and resource economics in different European countries and to develop and encourage the cooperation between university level teaching institutions and research institutions in Europe.

 

The conference will cover all topics of environmental and resource economics.

Doctoral Consortium – Foundation of Digital Games Conference 2015

When: 22nd – 25th of June, 2015

FDG 2015 invites PhD students to apply to the Doctoral Consortium, a unique opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from fellow students and senior faculty in game research. The consortium will primarily benefit PhD students who are pursuing a career in academia and already have a clear topic and research approach, but are not so far along in their PhD that they can no longer make changes.

 

Invited students are expected to attend both conference and consortium, which will take place in parallel to one conference day. At the consortium, invited students will give a 15 minute presentation on their work and receive detailed feedback from their peers and the consortium committee. They will also have opportunity to ask senior faculty about job market and publication strategies during two bespoke panels. Accepted doctoral consortium abstracts will appear in the conference proceedings, and students are invited to present a poster on their abstracts during the general conference poster session.
