The Writing Retreat is back – and this time we’re heading to the stunning Målselv Fjellandsby Ski Resort! ⛰️✨
Known for its breathtaking mountain surroundings, Målselv is the perfect place to recharge, focus, and make real progress on your writing while connecting with fellow researchers.

📌 Event Details
📍 Location: Målselv Fjellandsby
📅 Date: Monday, November 10th – Wednesday, November 12th, 2025
💰 Participation Fee: 2500 NOK (paid directly upon checkout)
🚗 Transport: Group transport will be arranged

• Departure: November 10th at 09:00 from UiT Tromsø
• Return: November 12th at 13:30, arriving at UiT between 15:00 and 16:00

✅ What’s included in this trip?

• A dedicated conference room for structured writing sessions with regular breaks to maintain focus and productivity
• 2 nights of accommodation – shared apartments with same-gender participants
• All meals included:
  • 2 × breakfast buffets
  • 3 × lunches

• Cancellation Policy: Once signed up, you may cancel or edit your registration until October 9th, 2025. After that, you are bound to pay the participation fee even if you do not attend.

• And here’s an extra perk: Målselv is a ski resort, so you can bring your skis and take a refreshing break on the slopes between writing sessions. 🎿 Please note that skiing depends on snow conditions (no guarantee), and ski passes or rentals are not included in the participation fee. Rentals and passes can be arranged directly at the resort if conditions allow.

💡 Additional Information

• The participation fee of 2500 NOK may be reimbursed from your annual PhD/Postdoc funding, but please confirm this with your department in advance.
• Accommodation is in shared cabins; while you may share the cabin with participants of the opposite gender, with private rooms
• Please note that pets are not allowed at the venue.
  
  After signing up, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to edit or cancel your registration. Please keep this email safe. If you lose the email and need to make changes, contact us before the deadline.

📩 Final details (including transportation updates) will be sent out to participants two weeks before the event.
