Congratulations to our team member, Øystein I. Helle, who successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “On-chip optical nanoscopy: towards high throughput and multi-modality”. The ceremony took place on November 07th at the Department of Physics and Technology at the UiT – The Arctic University of Norway.
Øystein showcased his knowledge and experience in the field of photonics and nanoscopy throughout the whole evaluation process, which included both a trial lecture in “chip-based Raman spectroscopy”, and his thesis defense.
The jury committee was formed by prof. James S. Wilkinson (Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, UK), prof. Dag Roar Hjelme (Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, NTNU – Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway), and associate prof. Jana Jágerská (Faculty of Science and Technology, UiT).
Øystein is the first candidate at Ahluwalia’s lab who obtains the degree of Ph.D. in Science. Congratulations Dr. Helle for your achievement and success in your forthcoming projects!
