In a magnificent closing for 2019, Marcel Lahrberg received his Ph.D. in Science after defending his doctoral thesis. The ceremony took place at the Department of Physics and Technology at the UiT – The Arctic University of Norway on December 11th, 2019.
The evaluation process included both a trial lecture titled “super-resolution imaging through single-molecule localization”, and the dissertation defense titled “novel strategies for super-resolution fluorescence microscopy”. It was a great opportunity for Marcel to explain his outstanding work in the field of super-resolution optical microscopy.
The jury committee was formed by prof. Sumeet Mahajan (Institute for Life Sciences, University of Southampton, UK), prof. Aasmund Sudbø (Department of Technology Systems, University of Oslo, Norway), and associate prof. Krishna Agarwal (Department of Physics and Technology, UiT).
Marcel is the second candidate who obtains the degree of Ph.D. in Science at Ahluwalia’s lab. Congratulations Dr. Lahrberg on your achievement and success in your forthcoming endeavors!
