We were pleased to host Prof. Håvard Danielsen and Dr. Manohar Pradhan from the Institute for Cancer Genetics and Informatics (ICGI), who visited us on October 21st, 2021 at our premises in Tromsø.
During their visit, the Nanopath team led by prof. Balpreet S. Ahluwalia had the opportunity to present the latest progress on multimodal imaging of tissue sections via chip-based optical microscopy. Also, the Nanopath team offered our guests a guided tour throughout the different laboratories of the Optics Group at the Department of Physics and Technology at UiT.
After a fruitful technical discussion, the two parties agreed on installing a photonic chip-based microscope at Radium Hospital (Oslo, Norway). With this step forward, the Nanopath project aims to incorporate the high-throughput and high-resolution provided by our innovative photonic chip platform in the current workflow of cancer prognosis developed at the ICGI in Oslo.
We thank Prof. Danielsen and Dr. Pradhan for their visit!
