New PhD, Daniel Rød
Daniel Rød joined the RUR-ED team as a PhD on September 13.
Rød is interested in how context and place makes for different experiences and results among actors, and especially teachers. Rød has a background in social anthropology, and brings the methodological approach of participatory observation. He wrote his MA thesis on local practices for coping with natural disasters in the Philippines.
His PhD-project focuses on teacher in different contexts, where he will focus on which variables come into play and whether these can be changed in order to counteract the spatial challenges that teachers and students experience.
A big welcome to Daniel!
