From 5-6th February we arranged our twice a year TREC seminar at beautiful Sommarøy outside Tromsø. The seminar aims to gather TREC members and partners to share knowledge and new ideas for research.
The seminar was a great success! Over forty participants, including our partners from University of North-Carolina, University of California San Diego, Leiden University Medical Centre and Oslo University Hospital joined us for two days filled with interesting presentations and inspiring discussions.
The seminar was built up around TREC’s four work packages; Gene-environmental 
interactions in venous thrombosis, Microparticles in venous thrombosis, Complement, Inflammation, and proteomics and Arterial and venous thrombosis. The TREC PhDs were given the possibility to present their own research projects, and several of our partners gave talks on ongoing new research in the field.
After a long day of interesting lectures some of the participants regained their strengths in the hot tub, before joining the rest of the group for dinner.
