Call for applicants – Post-doctoral position at Universita della Svizzera italiana and Yale University

Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position for a research project on the dynamics of online reviews. The postdoc position is hosted in the first year at the Universita della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland (USI). The second year will be either at USI or at Yale University, School of Management, depending on the preferences of the applicant. The project will be supervised by Prof. Balazs Kovacs (USI and Yale University).

The research project is very interdisciplinary, so I accept candidates from multiple fields, including but not limited to management, psychology, economics, sociology, computer science, and statistics. Applicants should have some skills in statistics and the ability to think creatively about research design. No previous experience with online review data is required. ​

Yearly Salary: Around 82,000 Swiss francs / $86,000* US dollars / 78,000* euros (*depending on current exchange rates)

Start date: Summer/Fall 2015. Start date may be negotiable to accommodate the successful candidate. To start the position, you will need to have graduated from a PhD program or be very close to finishing. There is no disciplinary restriction on what PhD you need.
