Reminder TODOS AGM 2015

Dear colleagues,

On November 24th, at the Annual General Meeting, TODOS will elect its new Board. The TODOS Board does important work for all PhD candidates at UiT and is dependent on your participation. Without a Board, there can be no more TODOS: no more representation, no more lobbying, and, most visibly, no more academic or social events for PhD candidates.

That’s why we need enthusiastic, capable PhD candidates (preferably early in their contracts) to get involved, step up, and be part of the 2016 TODOS Board.

Benefits: for your time and effort, UiT rewards you with either an extension of your work contract or equivocation of teaching duty hours (pliktarbeid). You also develop relevant, hands-on skills and experience…things like “managing a group of volunteers” or “planning and organizing events” sound good in your CV, besides your academic achievements. 🙂
If you intend to run for a position please send an e-mail indicating your interest and what position you would like to run for (Board Chair, Board Vice-Chair, Chair of Academic Affairs, Chair of Social Affairs, Tresurer, or general Board Member). It is possible to run for a position even though you can’t participate physically in the meeting (in which case you have to notify us).

If you are still undecided and would like more information, please contact us and we can tell you all about what it means to be a part of the TODOS Board.

Thank you,
The 2015 TODOS Board
