Text: Maja Sojtaric

ResClim is a national training school for PhD candidates in climate dynamics. The aim is to give PhD candidates in-depth knowledge in their specific study field within climate research, trans-disciplinary knowledge in the dynamics of the entire climate system, insight into the political and societal impacts of climate change, and the necessary skills to play an active role in appropriately predicting, mitigating, and adapting to climatic and environmental change.

ResClim is a project with 10 national partners, including UiT The Arctic University of Norway,  and 7 international collaborators and is lead from Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen.

During this years all staff meeting Mohamed Ezat gave the lecture titled A 140 kyr record of near-surface pCO2, ventilation and nutrient levels from the southeastern Nordic seas. The lecture was awarded The best student lecture, and includes a travel grant of 10.000 NOK.

“I’m super-happy with this award given the very wide backgrounds for the presented topics, by PhD students from Oxford, Oslo, Bergen, and Tromsø.” said Ezat upon receiving the award.
