Partners
UiT Arctic University of Norway (UiT) and Simula Research Laboratory (SRL) are main national computer science partners in the (virtual) centre. The main international computer science partner is Cornell University, Ithaca, USA.
Sport scientists at UiT are vital when attempting to analyze and gain insights from voluminous quantified data obtained from athlete user groups. Such user groups include several Norwegian elite soccer clubs and their youth academies, and previously included Norwegian national soccer teams (A-team and U-21 men). Current efforts include other sports like, for instance, cross-country skiing.
Interdisciplinary medical research is primarily carried out with UiT Faculty of Health Sciences and Oslo University Hospital.
We have had a long-term R&D partnership with Microsoft Development Center Norway (MDCN), who is one of our key R&D industry partners. We are also collaborating closely with ForzaSys, a recent start-up at Fornebu, Oslo targeting sport and entertainment technologies. We work and interact closely with such relevant industry and government stakeholders to provide real-world problems and have direct impact.
