Please join us for the first PhD Café, a new collaborative event series from ArcticDoc, The High North Academy and the UiT Library, bringing together the PhD and postdoc community to discuss topics of shared interest with invited speakers in an informal setting with free coffee, refreshments, and kanelboller!
For our inaugural session, we welcome Gabriela Sirbu, author of Speak the Unspoken: Exploring the Unwritten Rules of North Norway and practical psychologist specializing in intercultural challenges, as well as Cato Bjørndal, professor at the Resource center for teaching, learning and technology (Result) whose research focuses on improving the supervision process.

On the particularities of an intercultural supervisor–supervisee relationship, and how to navigate communication when students bring different expectations of hierarchy and mentorship.
