Arctic Optica at Sensor Decade Student Expo

Roll-up of Arctic Optica presented at Sensor Decade

On the 5th of June, Arctic Optica participated in The Student Expo of Sensor Decade, the biggest event in sensing in Norway, in which our members had the opportunity to present one of our projects as well as interact with members of the scientific community and sensor industry.

We were happy for the chance to participate and demonstrate what a small team with minimal funding can achieve in just a few months. We held our heads high while competing against larger teams with significantly more resources, some of whom have been developing their projects for several years. This experience underscores that hard work and determination can overcome many challenges. Arctic Optica’s OptoFlux project stood out as the only one operating at the micron and nanoliter scale, garnering attention from individuals and companies interested in supporting further development of the chip.

In this project we were supported by Optica through the Special Program Grant, enabling us to buy the materials necessary for this work. Our presentation at the Sensor Decade was supported by TNNN and SINTEF.

Though we didn’t win this year, it was an amazing experience that motivated us to do better in the future.
