Bleie is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a PhD in social anthropology and a specialization in reintegration as part of long-term recovery and development after armed conflicts. Her current research focus on reintegration builds on extensive research on globalization, nation building, social exclusion/inclusion, economic in/equality and poverty reduction as drivers of conflict and conflict transformation. Bleie has long management experience from development agencies and academic institutions and is currently the leader of the International Research Group on Reintegration.
